When is the journeyman celebration?

The journeyman celebration is typically held shortly after the trade exam has been passed and the journeyman's certificate issued. In practice there is rarely much notice — things can move quickly from the exam being over to the party being planned and the date set. It is therefore wise to order the journeyman gift as soon as the date is known, and not wait until the week before.

For vocational schools and technical colleges, the graduation date is typically fixed long in advance as part of the official calendar. Here there is plenty of time to plan — and for institutional orders, that is exactly when you should put a plan in place.

For private buyers — families, friends and colleagues — it varies more. The journeyman celebration can appear at short notice, and it is a good idea to have a clear picture of the latest point at which you need to have ordered. That is exactly what this guide is for.

Standard delivery time

A figurine without engraving has a standard delivery time of 5–7 business days from order to delivery. In practice, that means you should order at least 7–10 business days before the journeyman celebration to leave a good margin — that gives a buffer for any shipping delays and ensures the figurine arrives in good time.

With engraving — extra time for the personal inscription

Engraving adds 2–3 business days to the production time. That is because the inscription is laser-engraved after the order is received, and we confirm the text with you before producing to make sure everything is correct.

With engraving, you should therefore order at least 10–14 business days before the journeyman celebration. That leaves time for production, any proofing of the text and safe delivery with a good buffer.

The process is simple: you state the desired text when ordering, we confirm before we engrave, and the figurine is shipped once it is ready. To make sure the text is exactly as you want it, state it precisely in the order's note field — and we get back to you with confirmation within one business day.

Institutional orders for schools and trade unions

Vocational schools, technical colleges, trade unions and companies ordering for whole classes should plan the order 3–4 weeks before the graduation date. That leaves time to coordinate the class composition (quantity, trades, version), confirm the delivery date and make sure everything is packed and ready for the handover.

For institutional orders, we recommend contacting us directly via the retailer page rather than ordering directly in the webshop. That allows us to coordinate the order correctly, issue an invoice to your CVR number and explicitly confirm the delivery time for the date you have stated.

Urgent orders — what do you do if you are late?

For figurines without engraving, we can in many cases ship with express delivery, which reduces the delivery time significantly. For figurines with engraving, the options are more limited — engraving requires production and confirmation, and that takes time regardless.

If you are in a real bind and the journeyman celebration is in 2–3 days, the honest assessment is that a figurine with engraving probably cannot be done. A figurine without engraving can potentially make it with express delivery. Contact us as soon as possible — we will find out what is feasible.

What happens from order to delivery?

The process is simple and transparent from start to finish. When you order, you receive an order confirmation with an estimated delivery date. If you want engraving, we send a confirmation of the text before production starts.

The figurine is produced and prepared for shipping. Once the parcel is dispatched, you receive a track-and-trace code giving you real-time updates on the shipment's status all the way to your door.

We ship exclusively with reliable carriers that deliver across Denmark. If you would like delivery to a specific address — for example directly to the vocational school or the garage — you can state that when ordering.

We always confirm the delivery date
