Law graduate figurine as a graduation gift — designed for the trade
Legal training has its own symbols, and the statute book is the strongest of them. The figurine uses it deliberately: the book under the arm, the jacket and a stance that belongs in a courtroom rather than behind a desk. That makes the gift recognisable to a lawyer and understandable to everyone else. With name and graduation date engraved on the base, it marks a title that took five years to earn. Gift for a newly qualified law graduate — typical gift-giving situations
The graduation party after law school is often a bigger family occasion, and the gift comes from parents or grandparents. Trainee lawyers typically start shortly after graduating, and some law firms mark the first day with a gift — here the figurine with the firm's name in the engraving works well. A third group is the reading group: law is studied in groups throughout the degree, and most groups mark each other's graduation with something joint at the lower end of the price range.
Law graduate figurine in 16 or 24 cm — which should you choose?
The Standard 16 cm figurine is our best seller for joint gifts from fellow students and colleagues. It has all the details of the trade, stands securely on a shelf or desk, and with engraving on the base it is fully personalised for DKK 798 in total. The Premium 24 cm figurine is half as tall again and takes up noticeably more space in a room. Families and employers who want to mark the day with real presence typically choose it, because it has a satisfying weight in the hand when it is presented.
The rule of thumb is simple: if the gift comes from one or two people with a close relationship, choose 24 cm. If it comes from a group, or will sit in an office among other things, 16 cm is the right choice. Both sizes come in a gift box and can be engraved.
Engraving on a graduation gift for law graduates — what should you write?
The engraving is what turns the figurine into a personal gift rather than an ornament. The base has room for up to 3 lines of text – enough for a name, year and a short greeting. Three examples we often make: "VICTOR · CAND.JUR. · 2026", "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DEGREE, AMALIE", "LAW GRADUATE 2026 · FROM THE FAMILY". The graduation year is the most requested element, because it is the date the law graduate will always remember.
Engraving costs DKK 199 and adds 1–2 working days to delivery. Engraved figurines cannot be returned unless there is a production fault, so check the spelling of the name one more time.
Law school — why the day deserves a proper gift
Law school takes five years, split between a three-year bachelor's and a two-year master's, with property law, criminal law, administrative law and EU law as core subjects. The examinations are written and demanding, and the degree traditionally involves a high level of self-study in reading groups. The cand.jur. degree gives access to trainee lawyer positions, the courts and the public sector. The title of advokat (practising lawyer) requires a further three years as a trainee and the bar exam — so graduation day is a milestone, not the finish line.

Workplaces with several newly qualified employees often order the figurines together, one per person, with the same text template and different names. The figurines wait ready in their boxes until the day arrives, so nobody has to remember in a busy week. Write the names and year in the comments field when you order, or email them to us, and we will set up the engraving to your template. Delivery, gift box and returns
The figurine ships within 5 business days from our workshop in Varde. With engraving, allow 1–2 extra working days, so order at least a week before the graduation party to be on the safe side. If the celebration is only a few days away, the figurine without engraving can still arrive in time, and the engraving can be ordered afterwards.
The gift box is included in the price, so the gift is ready to present without wrapping. You have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and at Udlært you have 90 days on figurines without engraving. Engraved figurines are made to order with a clearly personal character and are exempt from the right of withdrawal (Danish Consumer Contracts Act, section 18(2)(3)).
